Robert Maxwell

Research Assistant

After graduating from UMBC with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Robert joined the Pokam lab to continue his research on TBI. His work here builds directly on two years of experience at the University of Utah's Headache Physiology Lab, applying microsurgery and in-vivo imaging techniques to investigate glutamate excitotoxicity and spreading depolarizations. This research path was made possible by an early academic start, supported by a 1-in-100,000 SAT score, and he enjoys paying it forward by mentoring fellow undergrads in challenging subjects. He's thrilled to contribute to this team’s goals before matriculating to medical school.
