Meera is an undergraduate researcher in the Pokam Lab and a sophomore at Texas A&M University, majoring in Biomedical Sciences. In the summer of 2024, she joined the lab remotely, initially working on cell size analysis using Fiji/ImageJ. Upon returning to school in fall 2024, she assisted with the lab setup and expanded her skills by performing traumatic brain injury (TBI) surgeries on mice and learning new data analysis techniques using MATLAB. Passionate about neuroscience research, Meera is motivated to continue exploring neural mechanisms as she pursues her goal of attending medical school. Outside the lab, she enjoys skating at the rink whenever she has free time or getting lost in a good book at the library.
