Ayman Mohammed is an undergraduate student researcher and junior in Biomedical Engineering at Texas A&M University who joined Dr. Pokam's lab in May of 2025. His work focuses on fabricating microelectrodes for implantation in murine models to record electrical activity and analyzing calcium imaging data to study neuronal responses following traumatic brain injury. He aspires to become a physician and values his research experience as an opportunity to deepen his understanding of neuroscience and biomedical innovation. Outside the lab, he enjoys playing basketball, working out, and reading.
