Leana Lopez is a senior neuroscience major with a minor in psychology at Texas A&M University. She joined the Pokam lab in the summer of 2024, around the time the lab transitioned to Texas A&M. Since then, she has enjoyed exploring cutting-edge research on traumatic brain injury and its underlying cellular mechanisms. Leana will graduate in May and plans to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology. Her long-term goal is to become a neuropsychologist, with an interest in traumatic brain injury and other neurodegenerative diseases. In her spare time, Leana enjoys reading, discovering new coffee shops, and spending time with friends and family.
